Me: Sit down so I can braid your bangs.
Maddie: But I don't want them braided.
Me: You can't have your hair hanging in your eyes. I thought you wanted to grow your bangs out.
Maddie: Seriously, is this what you want to do to them everyday? Will it look okay with my hair curled?
Haylee: Yeah, Janie does it all the time.
Me: That's where I got the idea to braid your bangs.
Maddie: Really? Okay then.
